Flip

Shirley this home can be updated! Of course it can…

We really bit off a lot when we took the risk of purchasing this one – We learned many valuable lessons on this flip. Foremost, we have begun to take care of all the “not fun” stuff upfront – like: plumbing, electrical, and foundation. These items will bite you in the rear during inspection – better to assemble a solid team who can tackle the tough stuff BEFORE you pick out tile and knock down walls!

The rust and cream paint had to go. We freshened the exterior with a new coat of paint and trimmed out the shutters and door with black for a dramatic pop – one of our favorite things to do. Removing unnecessary shrubs and trees really helped us show off this charmer.
Bye bye formica! We added a simple, but stunning horizantal subway tile to compliment the neutral granite and added a shaker trim to the cabinets.
These random pedestal sinks needed something! We added a built-in shelving unit to provide some separation and give the space definition.
Once again, never underestimate the power of a fresh, white baseboard! We also love painting dark, dated wood doors for a lift.
Perhaps the most dramatic transformation of this entire flip was the outdoor space. We reinforced the sheds and gave them fresh paint. Rebuilding the steps and opening up the deck really made it an inviting party space. In the end…we’re pretty sure this sold the home!
